Because We Hate Mornings: McDonald’s Considering Extending Breakfast

mcdonaldsMcDonald’s is starting to realize that the morning time sucks and people don’t want to have to experience it. Or maybe it’s just that weekend hangovers aren’t allowing people to leave the house until noon. Either way they are considering extending their breakfast hours. At least for the weekends.

It seems that the company’s target demographic, millennials, aren’t too big on getting up early. Jeff Stratton, head of McDonald’s USA, told the Associated Press, “We know, as an example, that breakfast on the weekend cut off at 10:30 doesn’t go very well.”
I’d be all for those tasty McGriddles being available later. But I also haven’t been to a McDonald’s in a long time so I can’t say having them there at 2 in the afternoon would change anything for me. What McDonald’s should do is take a note out of Burger Kings’ book. My local Burger King serves Whoppers during breakfast. If McDonald’s did that with the Big Mac and chose one or two of their breakfast sandwiches to keep on hand during the day everyone would be happy and the logistics wouldn’t be such a mess. I’m an idea man.
