Remember back in 2001 when you waited in line, in the sleet, at the movie theater for hours and hours so you could get tickets go go and see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone? And that all happened the day after it was released. Well I remember. Remember watching the whole movie trying not to blink so you didn’t miss anything? Well I remember. Now remember in the movie when Hagrid taps the bricks with his umbrella and the wall opens into the door onto Diagon Alley and you crapped your pants from the excitement and had to leave early? Yeah… me neither.
Now Google has a street-viewable version of Diagon Alley. Give it a try, I’ll wait. Pretty sweet huh? If you’re like me and never got your letter to Hogwarts then you know the relief of finally being able to explore Diagon Alley from home. The neighbor kid keeps reminding me how he’s waiting for his owl form Hogwarts that should be here any day now. I keep telling him that his kind of special does get him into special classes, but not special schools.
