PETA is at it again. This time they’re claiming a connection between dairy products and autism. I wonder how long before the link between PETA and autism is discovered? I’m guessing it will be a while because it’s already an accepted truth.
This is the most cynical, horrifying thing I’ve heard in ages. PETA has restarted a campaign to try and pretend there’s some link between “autism and dairy products,” in an attempt to scare people into going Vegan.
As Emily Willingham writes over at Forbes:
In their fervor to protect cows from being milked and to make consumption of animal products look like the work of Lucifer instead of hungry, omnivorous primates, they failed to notice that they are campaigning on the backs of people. People with autism. Pro tip, PETA: It’s not a good idea to demonize people with disabilities to further your cause.
Interesting fact, cows like being milked. I’m not too ashamed to admit that I have milked a cow or thousands in my life. If given a choice cows will go into the barn and be milked by choice. So, if cows like it, I see no reason to feel bad for drinking milk. Not that I felt bad before.
