Meet Misty. Misty is a Diplodocus who lived in Wyoming, USA about 150 million years ago. Back then there were about 576 thousand fewer people living in Wyoming than there is today. If you’ve ever traveled Wyoming you’d know, you wouldn’t notice the difference.
Unfortunately Misty died some time ago, and apparently foul play is not suspected because the authorities are releasing her remains. Specifically they’ll be auctioning off the skeleton at Summers Place Auctions in West Sussex, England on November 27th.
The price I’m seeing is £600,000 but it’s an auction so I’m not sure if that’s a starting price or the estimated final price. Or maybe “auction” means something different in England, like “for sale.” Either way that sounds like a steal to me. Let me convert that, $970,320. Ok now it’s less of a steel. Unless… Unless I hire Carmen Sandiego to help. Then it will be a steal. And I’ll keep the skeleton next to the Egyptian pyramids and the Pacific Ocean in my back yard.
