What do you do when your walking through the forest and you hear a “very distinctive cry?” In all likelihood you probably turn and run for your life because there is a good chance the noise is coming from something that is hungry for your flesh. If you’re both brave and curious like Andy Wooten and his friend you go to investigate.
Andy Wooten heard a very distinctive cry coming from Lake Oconee in Georgia, US last week.
When he investigated, he found a doe standing guard over her two newborn fawns who had fallen into the water.
Mr Wooten and a friend were able to rescue the baby deer before reuniting them with their mother.
I’m going to go ahead and name Andy and friend our Heroes of the Week because they rock.
