We’ve talked about him in the past and we will likely talk about him in the future. Tony Swatton is the Chuck Norris of blacksmiths. He made Gimli’s Battle Axe that Side Effect posted not too long ago. Now he is at it again, but this time making stuff from a different Universe. This is the Bat’leth, a ceremonial longsword used by the Klingon race in Star Trek. It’s a good thing I wasn’t born a Klingon, cuz 10 to 1 says I would accidentally chop off my own head with this thing during battle.
Since I am a human though, I feel a need to have this sucker in my kitchen. I want to use this to slice cheese and other things that are sliced in kitchens. That way, when guests come over (never happens) I can ask them if they want some cheese or other sliceable foods from my kitchen. When they say yes (won’t happen), I’ll whip, or rather lug, this thing out and carefully slice the best freaking food slices this side of Vulcan. But since that is a long shot for me to even have visitors, I guess I will just use this as my own personal butter knife. Why you ask? Because I want butter on my toast, that is why.
