As we all well know going outside is rarely a good idea and is an activity best left to professionals. Here’s a good example of why that is.
Here’s some surveillance camera footage from the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. As you can see the tree in the background is struck by lightning and immediately transformed into toothpicks and chopsticks.
I’m just glad that the lightning strike didn’t knock out the camera or else we’d be without this valuable insight into the dangerous of the great outdoors. After the break I’ll show you the best position you can be in to survive a lightning strike, besides inside on the couch.
