Going on about 9 months ago now we got word there was a new leaders in the world of tallest LEGO towers. Well, their reign has officially ended. That is to say, there’s a new leader in the field of world’s tallest LEGO tower.
Construction of the 114-foot (36-metre) Lego tower began on Wednesday with several school children taking part helped by official Danish Lego constructors. The aim was to break the current US record of 113-foot
Officials from the Guinness world record company arrived in Budapest on Saturday to verify the record.
I wonder if there is some kind of asterisk in the record book to note that it’s not a free-standing structure as it has guy-wires to hold it up? When I build my worlds tallest LEGO tower it will be free-standing. Which means the base will need to be muck bigger so the whole structure will be much heavier. That being said. I’ll start collecting LEGOs now. If you have some you’d like to donate, hit me up.
