Something New For Thanksgiving: Ice Cream

icecreamI don’t know how it is in other countries but in the US it’s impossible to get time off work or school for some reason. So a lot of us are forced to do things like get our wisdom teeth pulled out of our face over holiday breaks. A few years ago one of my buddies chose Thanksgiving vacation as the time to get his wisdom teeth out. That means he missed out on the majority of the holiday meal and was left with eating ice cream and drinking the gravy.

If only a product had existed then that turned all his favorite thanksgiving foods into something he could still eat. Well now it’s here. Salt & Straw has come up with a line of Thanksgiving themed ice creams for the world to enjoy.

The flavors include:
Sweet Potato and Candied Pecans
Apple Cranberry Stuffing
Salted Caramel Thanksgiving Turkey
Pumpkin Custard & Spiced Chevre
Mincemeat Pie

All of them sound questionable down right edible. I had to search for what Chevre was. Now I understand that one line from Ratatouille. It’s goat cheese if you didn’t know either.

You can get the whole set shipped for you for about $65. So it’s not the cheapest ice cream you’ll have this year, but hopefully it’s the most Thanksgiving-y.
