You’ve probably already heard about the new World’s Tallest Waterslide that is opening at the Kansas City Schlitterbahn this Memorial Day. But now there’s a, kind of cryptic, video. It’s one of those videos show with a remote control quadro-copter so you don’t get to see them throwing crash test dummies down the slide or anything but it does help to give you an idea of the size of the thing.
They’re calling the monstrosity Verrückt which translates to
crap down both legs crazy or insane. I think I’d have to agree. I’m not good on the waterslide at the local rec center and it can’t be more that 35 feet tall. This baby is 17 stories high. For reference, that’s twice as tall as any building within 60 miles of me right now. Sad I know.
Riders can reach speeds of 65 miles an hour. That’s almost fast enough for you to pass your own screams of terror.
Hit the jump for the video.
Me and three friends what? Can we win a trip? Do we hold hands and go down together? Is it a raft ride? I’m so confused and frightened.
