Being afraid for your safety is not a state that you want to live in. That’s why people move out of Michigan. Apparently that’s the situation in the Australian Parliament right now. Due to a change in security regulations some people are not required to go through a full security scan when they enter the parliament building.
That’s probably the happiest day in some of these people’s lives when they found out they could skip to the front of the line and just get to work. Others, like Senator Bill Heffernan, were more worried about the changes and how they could potentially allow people to smuggle potentially dangerous substances into the building. To demonstrate the problem, he smuggled a potentially dangerous substance into the building.
“I don’t think it any longer is (safe) and to demonstrate that, this morning I brought in what could be, I brought this through security – a pipe bomb,” he said placing the pipe on his desk, before pulling what were reportedly fake sticks of dynamite from a plastic shopping bag.
