Where have You been all My Life: Deep-Fried Doritos-Crusted Bacon

DoritosCrustedBaconLately I’ve been trying to come up with foods that can be labeled as “geek food.” This one applies. This, as the title implies, is deep-fried Doritos-crusted bacon. Yes it’s like a dream come true.

After making both Doritos-crusted chicken strips and a deep-fried, Doritos-breaded burger, Nick from Dude Foods was running out of things to cover with crumbled-up Doritos. But then he remembered his love for all things bacon.

Want to make some yourself. Here’s how it’s done.
1. Fry up twice the amount of thick cut bacon you think you’ll need.
2. Eat half the bacon.
3. Dredge the remaining bacon in first flour and then egg wash.
4. Cover in Doritos crumbles. You may have to eat several bags of Doritos to come up with enough crumbles.
5. Deep fry for 30 seconds.
6. Wait for the results to cool a bit before you cram it down your gullet.
